Welcome
Hello,
Welcome to my on-line portfolio. My name is Mark Forsyth and I am a 3D artist for Gearbox Software in Plano, Texas where I am presently working on an unannounced title. My shipped title credits include Borderlands, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, Guitar Hero II, Hellgate: London, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Stubbs the Zombie, SWAT 4, and Battlefield: Vietnam as well as a handful of web-based "adver-gaming" titles.
Prior to Gearbox I was employed at Liquid Development where I typically filled the role of an environment / prop artist. I also had the opportunity to work as a level designer and art manage projects on occasion. Additionally, my position there gave me the opportunity to learn and work with a wide variety of game engines; both proprietary and licensed. Prior to working at Liquid Development I attended the Art Institute of Portland where I received my BS in Computer Animation.
I have always had a passion for video games. I fondly remember playing my Atari 2600 as a child and dreaming of how cool it would be to make the games that I loved to play so much. My career as a 3D artist has allowed that dream to come true. What I enjoy about my job as a 3D artist is the creative outlet accompanied by the logical/technical challenges that come with working with cutting-edge graphic technology as well as the opportunity to work in a fun career field and have a hand in shaping some incredible titles.
Thanks for stopping by!
-Mark
